These are starting points, not a menu. Every engagement is scoped and quoted individually — what follows is enough to tell you whether the work is in your range before you spend time on an enquiry.
Editorial, portrait, performance and field work. Nonprofit, arts and education engagements sit below the figures here — say which you are and it will be reflected in the quote.
Up to four hours, one location.
from $1,250
Up to eight hours, multiple setups or locations.
from $2,000
Two different things, priced differently. A production day ends in a finished piece. An operator day is my camera package on someone else's shoot, with someone else directing.
Directed, shot and delivered. The edit is quoted with the piece, since its scope is what drives it.
from $2,800
Cinema body, lenses, lighting and sound, on your production.
from $1,400+ 20% kit
Campaign and brand narrative, content systems, editorial governance — the work that decides what gets made before anything is shot.
Workshops, creative review, a defined piece of direction.
from $2,000
Ongoing, part-time, embedded with your team.
from $5,000per month
Prospecting, proposal development, funder reporting and the narrative that has to carry a budget. I have run the full lifecycle of a $20M portfolio, so this is not generalist writing.
Review, editing, advisory, or work too small to scope.
from $135per hour
Research, narrative, budget and submission.
from $2,500
Longer form, compliance-heavy, multiple contributors.
from $6,000
A standing pipeline rather than a single deadline.
from $3,500per month
Agentic development systems, automated content pipelines, and the documentation that lets your own team run them after I leave. Built with PTY Suite.
Scoped after a conversation about what you are trying to automate. Always includes handover, because a system nobody else can run is not finished.

The rate includes a standard licence: your own website and social channels, internal use, and press, for two years. Paid advertising, broadcast, out-of-home and packaging are quoted separately, because they are worth more to you than a website is. Copyright stays with me, which is standard practice and is what makes a later re-license straightforward.
No travel charge in St. Louis, New York City or Chicago. Anywhere else, a travel day is billed at half the day rate plus expenses at cost. I have worked across eight countries and remoteness is not usually the obstacle.
Every booking is quoted with the deliverable count and the turnaround written into it, so neither of us is working from an assumption.
Most of my clients are institutions — symphonies, opera houses, museums, research centers and universities. Those engagements are priced below the figures above. Ask.
Tell me what you are making and roughly when. I will come back with a scope and a number.
