From The Founder

Our brains were never made to be logic processors. They were made to process patterns, narrative, emotions. They were made to process stories. And every tribe, company, country, legal system, and religion that’s ever existed is just a group of people who agreed on the same stories.

Why Story

For most of human history the storyteller sat at the center of the camp. Before writing, before law, before money, a group’s rules and warnings and heroes all traveled by story — and the anthropological record is blunt about the result: the societies with the most storytellers were the ones that held together best. More voices never diluted a culture. More voices are what made it survivable, because a culture is only as generous as the number of stories moving through it. Nothing about that has changed, except the equipment. A camera is a campfire with better reach. What a nonprofit or a founder is really asking for, when they ask for content direction and strategy, is a seat at that fire — because we don’t reason our way into beliefs and actions. We get narrated into them.

Creative Systems At Work

What began as a practical need to record performances, create headshots, and build audition materials grew into a much broader obsession with how stories are shaped through image, sound, language, and technology.
